THE LYTICS TAKE OVER CBC FOR REMIX & VIDEO

From CBC.ca “Local hip-hop group The Lytics stormed CBC Manitoba to record an exclusive song AND shoot a music video to kick off the new Manitoba Scene website. The rappers paraded through the newsroom wrangling cameos from Janet Stewart, John Sauder, Larry Updike, Wab Kinew and Ismaila Alfa.

The Lytics are legends here in their hometown of Winnipeg for their memorable live shows, addictive melodies and perfect cadence. In their short time on the scene they have shared the stage with artists such as Charlie 2na, K’Naan, Naughty by Nature, Comeback Kid, Cancer Bats, Kid Sister and Buck 65 to name only a few.

The Lytics are a rap crew composed of three brothers: 20-year-old Anthony, 22-year-old Andrew, 29-year-old Alex and their adopted brother 25-year-old Mungala Londe with renowned DJ Lonnie C on the wheels of steel.

The group just came back from Canadian Music Week and one of the biggest independent music festivals in the world, South by South West.  These Peg City boys wowed the crowds in Toronto and Texas.

We here at Scene, are pretty excited to share this with you.  And we have to tell you that our transmedia guru JIM AGAPITOhas been working all sorts of crazy hours to make you this exclusive video.  That’s right folks!
